About YeltolassWalks

Hello

My name is Sarah, and I've lived and worked in the beautiful city of York for over 30 years. Through Yeltolasswalks, I share my love and deep local knowledge of York and the stunning Yorkshire Wolds.
My walks aren’t about distance, speed, or steep climbs — they’re about slowing down, noticing the little things, and enjoying the journey. Whether we’re wandering through the historic streets of York or exploring peaceful paths in the Wolds, it’s all about conversation, curiosity, and connection with nature.
Everyone is welcome. My goal is to create a relaxed, friendly experience where you can enjoy being outdoors, learn something new, and maybe see familiar places in a whole new light.

Follow us on Facebook for updates.

Beverley Explorer

Saturday 25th April 2026

Meet 10am Beverley Westwood (see below for details)

Finish 1.30pm (approximate)

Approx. 6km/4 miles

Join me for an enjoyable introduction to beautiful Beverley, the County town of the East Riding of Yorkshire. We will cross the wide, open expanse of Beverley Westwood, then make our way into town via the historic North Bar Without and through North Bar, following the town’s ancient streets. Along the route, we pass St Mary's Church, Saturday Market and Beverley Minster, spotting evidence of the numerous Medieval Guilds within the town, before continuing down to the historic Beverley Beck and returning across the Westwood.

This will be at a leisurely pace, there will be chances to stop and explore, go into Beverley Minster, maybe call in for a drink. Beverley has numerous shops, cafes and pubs.

Beverley is a dog friendly town, although dogs are not allowed in the Minster.

A mixture of open grassland (potential mud if it has rained recently) and urban paths

Meet 10am Beverley Westwood – in the parking area at the junction of York Road and Newbald Road where there is 4 hours free parking. Please note this is not at the Racecourse stand – drive past the racecourse stand towards Beverley and approx. 0.5mile turn right and you will see cars parked.

Please let me know if you would like to join me.
